Why do you have to come to my home to complete a survey? Can't you just do it over the telephone?
Accuracy is very important to a satisfied customer. Without scheduling an appointment at your residence we may not be able to judge the appropriate number of crew needed, the correct weight of your shipment, or the accurate amount of time your move will take. An appointment also allows us the chance to assess your specific needs and any other variables affecting your move. We prefer a more personal approach. We believe in being able to associate a face with a name so you, the customer, are more comfortable.
What happens if my move takes more time or costs more than my original estimate?
All local moves are based on an hourly rate. For interstate moves, most are based on the actual weight of the shipment, and you will be charged accordingly. Our moving consultants are trained to be as accurate as possible in estimating.
Do you offer moving supplies such as boxes and tape?
Yes we do! We even offer free used boxes.Free used boxes are subject to availability, and must be picked-up from our warehouse.
Can WWMS provide storage?
We offer containerized storage in our warehouses totaling over 50,000 square feet. Our warehouse is strictly inspected by federal regulators for compliance with government standards.
Can WWMS provide packing?
We offer packing and unpacking of individual items up to full pack/unpack services.
Can WWMS move plasma televisions?
Yes we can. However, there are strict procedures for safely transporting plasma televisions. Ask your Certified Moving Consultant or call our customer service department for details.
Can WWMS move my car/motorcycle?
Yes we can. And if our rate isn't competitive, we can refer you to another company who specializes in the service.
What is a Certified Moving Consultant?
A Certified Moving Consultant has been tested by the American Moving Association of America (AMSA), the leading industry training and accountability organization. Certification gives the consultant recognition for having the knowledge and experience it takes to provide superior service. All Certified Moving Consultants must agree to and adhere to a code of ethics, bringing assurance to you that the consultant is a true professional.
What is an ISO company?
The ISO is the International Organization for Standardization. Conformity with strict standards and accountability provides assurance for customers of a company's quality, safety, and reliability. Our national carrier, Stevens Van Lines, is a registered ISO company.
How far in advance should I notify WWMS of my move?
Generally, we prefer two weeks notice for local moves. The summer is the busiest season for our industry, so more time should be allowed, especially if you are moving out of state. Dependant upon seasonal availability, we can often coordinate your move within a week.
Is WWMS licensed and insured? Yes we are.
